First Day of School 2014

 A Kindergartener?
I just can't even wrap my brain around how we could have a Kindergartener.
There was no way this momma was going to miss dropping off her big (baby) boy for his first day of Kinder.
So with a 4-day-old baby, and a momma that been home one full day from the hospital, we all made the trip to drop Eli off for his first day.

Not only is he too cool for school, he is also too cool for pictures. We only could talk him into this one.
We are so excited to watch you grow over this school year, buddy!

Asher and Co.

You, Mr. Asher had a ton on people waiting to meet you!

First, Eli and Ileigh had to check on mommy...

After figuring out that she was okay, daddy mentioned that Baby Asher brought them a gift.

A new Lego set for Eli and lipgloss for Ileigh; how did you know exactly what they would want, Asher?

Eli made us promise (many, many times) that he would be the first one to hold Asher and the first to know if he was a boy or girl, and the name, so, we didn't tell anyone anything until Eli and Ileigh got to the hospital.

They were introduced to their little brother first thing.
Eli held his first, but I think big sister was the most smitten...

Every single time she saw him, she had to hold him. :)

Welcome to the World, Asher Knox!

Asher Knox Pirtle made his appearance August 21st at 2:43p.m. Coming in at a whopping 8 pounds, 2 ounces and 18.5 inches.

Everyone in the operating room took a poll if you were going to be a boy or girl-
Of course your momma knew the whole time that you were a boy. :)

While your brother and sister were anxiously waiting to meet you, mommy and daddy were making the final call on your middle name in recovery. It was between James and Knox.

May you be happy & blessed, dear one.

We are so very thankful for another beautiful, healthy child and a healthy momma.
Here's to you, Asher. Happy Birth Day.

End of summer prep....

We got a letter from Eli's new teacher this week! He ran to his room and write her a note back....:)

We were given some fresh corn and found a few stow-always inside...

We survived a wedding 4 days before baby P3's arrival date....

We took one last summer trip to White Deer and hit everything on Eli's to-do list: mow the street, test drive all gramp's trucks, visit nanny and papaw, visit both barns, and tour the fire station...

Survived a WalMart two-week grocery run...

The theme I keep picking up on is survival...
Woot! I think we are ready for school AND a baby!

Wonderland!

You know that summer bucket list that everyone makes in May with the grandest intentions of completing? Yeah, Wonderland was on our list.

You know how the week before school starts and a few days before you have a baby you pull it out and are flooded with guilt for all the experiences you robbed your children if?

Yeah, that's us too.

We looked at our calendar and decided that our last free night was tonight. Wonderland had to happen tonight! Thankfully, it was cool and no one was at the park! It was a great evening to go!

The kiddos had a blast; we shut-down the park!

Swimming Lessons

Eli finished up swimming lessons this week. He did a great job. I am so glad that we decided to sign him up because they pushed a lot more than I would have. He started off in water where he couldn't touch and was in seven foot the next day and diving by day three. Crazy.

The slide was his favorite!

He rocked it! So glad he loves the water!

Water Balloon Surprise!

Today we had a special little surprise waiting for daddy when he got home from work....:)
