Pink and Black Ball!

For those of you who don't know, planning the Pink and Black Ball is one of my main job objectives. It has been such an incredible experience and I have learned so much; I have also had the opportunity to work with so many wonderful people who made my job easy!

Thank you to everyone for their kind wishes and help in planning this event to benefit Susan G. Komen. We had a very successful year, raising $5447 for Komen and selling 427 tickets to the ball!

These numbers are well past our projected goals so we are all very please and excited for the continuing trend next year.

Here are a few pictures from the event taken by Chris...

This is the wonderful group of people that I get to work with everyday in Student Life...

V-Day and B-Day

We both had a full day of work/volunteering and classes on Valentine’s Day this year, but we still wanted to have a little something special...

Nothing says I love you like a heart-shaped pizza and wine, right?!?I know that it doesn't look too appetizing in the picture, but it was a great surprise because Chris seems to never get enough pizza, so he was happy!

Our first successful fire in our new house...

Earlier that morning Tif was selling tickets to students for the Pink and Black Ball and got a little bored, so she took the opprotunity to make cards for Chris...

For Tif's birthday this year, she wanted to go home for Ruby's queso- here in Oklahoma they apparently believe that 'cheese sauce' is sufficient, and we have been missing real queso!
Here is everyone at Ruby's... we didn't get a picture, but Tim and his whole crew were just to the left! Thanks everyone for coming! It is really great to have everyone together!

Bubba and his piece of cake...:)

Our fun after the party!

Look mom, no hands!

Here we are back and Lynsey's house playing her rock band game! It was so awesome!

Tuesdays are our super hectic day of the week, so celebrating on the day of my birthday was out, but Chris still made it special! On Monday night he sat me down and brought cards with sayings on them and I had to guess what the present was going to be...one for every year. It was one of the sweetest things that I have ever seen...

Here are the roses he got me...
And here is the piece of cake that he decorated himself and gelato he picked up from our favorite place- Il Dolce- yummo!
Thank you to all of our family and friends who made this a fantastic birthday!

Evolution of Dance

For OU's Leadership Summit this year, they brought in Judson Laipply.

We decided to go to the show and had a great time. He talked about the power of choice and happiness in your life; it was really a great show, and if you ever get a chance to see him you will love it. He also reminisced about the days in grade school when you played with the big parachute in gym class, and the game that taught children every where how to cheat- Heads Up 7-Up.

Here is his video of his Evolution of Dance off youtube...it is great!

Pass Your Plate

For Tif's first presentation in grad school, she had to pick an establishment of adult learning and present it to the class. Her and her partner, Matt, chose Pass Your Plate, a business where you assemble entrees and freeze them so that you can have a wonderful meal any night of the week.

Chris and I decided to make this a 'date night' and it was a blast. From their awesome menu we picked parmesan-crusted tilapia, and chicken parmesan bake. We had the parmesan bake this week and it was wonderful!

Clinton on Campus...

Bill Clinton made an appearance here at OU to support Hillary's campaign last week.
Chris stood in line to get a seat for about an hour and a half, and Tif had to work. The rally was held in the old field house and the line ran all the way past the library, right past Tif's office window. It was really neat to see.

Here a picture from the line...
