Over our spring break we wanted spend a few days at home. Thursday we took our beautiful nieces out for the day- Morgan, Peyton and Addy. They were so good and we all had a blast.
We started our day with lunch at Ruby's- we all loved the queso!
Then we picked up some bread and headed to Medipark to feed the ducks. It was a little windy, but nice.
Here are a few pictures from our day...sorry there are so many, but almost every picture that we took turned out great; I don't think these girls can take a bad photo.

After the ducks were full, we came back and Canyon to decorate Easter cookies and go to the soda shop. The cookies turned out great- they are so creative!

Mamaw dropped by to say hello...

yumm-o, Morg!
Our finished product- pretty good, huh?
We had such a great day! Thanks Tim and Amber for letting us take the girls!

Arbor Week Celebration
Because of the massive destruction wrought to trees on the OU Norman campus as well as across the community and state, the University of Oklahoma’s Arbor Week Celebration this year took on a renewed focus, setting the stage for a beautiful campus for years to come.
Members of the university and surrounding communities were invited to participate in OU’s annual Arbor Week picnic and tree planting. During the picnic, President Boren talked about the university’s Reforestation Campaign to replace the more than 1,000 damaged and destroyed trees on campus.
Here are a few pictures from the beautiful day...

Match Box 20!
While Chris was at home getting ready for the Pink and Black Ball, he was listening to the radio. While he was listening, they offered a pair of MB20 tickets to the 98th caller, so he thought that he would give it a shot- and he won. He was totally shocked because there is no way that we can afford random concert tickets both being in school right now!
So, after Tif's family left from their visit on Sunday, we got ready for the concert...well actually, we started all of the homework that we had to get done before the concert. We really weren't interested in seeing the first band play, so we left the house around 7:30, hoping to see Alanis Morissette. The weather was pretty bad. Tif's parents had called to say that they had just driven through the biggest downpour ever, and that we should check out the weather. So, we checked weather.com - no big deal - and headed out the door.
As we were entering OKC- right at the I-40/I-35 interchange, Tif decided to flip on the radio to check out the weather...it hadn't really started raining yet, but looked like it could pour any second. As soon as she flipped the switch a weather advisory came on. It was really static-y, so it was hard to hear, but Tif swore that it said that there was a report of a tornado in OKC at the I-40/I-35 interchange. If you know OKC, then you know that the concert was right there, and we took the exit. We decided to head in the opposite direction of the storm just in case there was a tornado. Sitting at a stop light we realized that the city sirens were blaring...thing became a little more urgent...Racing through downtown, we pulled into the parking lot of the Skirvin Hotel- where we spent our anniversary this year- and they put everyone in the basement for about 20 minutes.
Needless to say, we didn't see Alanis...but we did get to the show as Match Box 20 was taking the stage. It was a great concert and definitely an exciting evening...
Here are just a few pictures from the event...

Brad's Birthday in OKC
For Brad's 25th birthday he wanted to come and spend some time with us in OKC.
Here are the old kids in Bricktown... do we still look like twins?
Dad, Tif, Brad and Mom...
Alison and Brad...
Back at the house, Dad and Callie- he is asking what she wants....it is always a treat.
The next morning we went to Ardmore to see the Portable AirTanker Base. I wasn't really excited about going so early in the morning, but it was really fun, and the pilot that showed us around was awesome.
Bubba in the Cockpit...

Isn't this cute?!?!
This is the pilot that showed us around...

So of course, Chris took all of these awesome photos...except the one that he is in- I took that- notice that it is focused on the background and not Brad and Chris...yeah, I need lessons.
These are some flowers that I got to take home from the Ball- they were so pretty that I had to take a picture!
