What?! A baby update?!

So...third trimester. Wow, that really snuck up on us.
So much so that this is the only intentional baby bump photo we have taken.

These two kiddos have been pretty incredible with the whole 'baby in mommy's tummy' thing- especially Eli. Every day when I picked him up from school, he would run up to me and ask if the baby was awake. He prays for the baby, sings songs and tells it good night every day.
Melt my heart.

Chris and I both notice that things are a little rougher this go 'round. More uncomfortable....less sleep...all earlier. At least it seems that way! No throwing-up this go 'round, but I do stay away from heavy, fried foods and the smell of fish.
I crave salads. Specifically, Hungry Howe's chef salad (no olives or cheese) with their Italian dressing. Seriously, I force myself to only get one a week....and then I have it for leftovers for a couple of days.
I feel like the baby is a boy- Chris thinks it is a girl. We are excited either way. We love little boys, and at the same time want Ileigh to have a sister! We have our names ready to go, most all the supplies somewhere in the attic...now all we need is the baby! ;)

 Sweet one,
Know just how loved you already are. We are so excited to add you to our family and you have a big brother and a big sister that are so ready to meet you. You are a blessing and we can't wait to see what your future holds.

And, just for fun, here I am seven months pregnant with Eli and then Ileigh....

Last Day!

Well, we made it to the end of the school year!

This little cutie's last day was Tuesday.

Her favorite food is still spaghetti, and she wants to be a pink astronaut and sheriff when she grows up.

This handsome goof-ball finished out an awesome year today.
He wants to be every single community helper there is...and a scuba diver.
His favorite "mommy meal" is tacos.

For Eli's last day we brought a fun surprise for his class gifts!

Everyone signed their names and then we went outside and played!

Here he is! All ready to go home

To celebrate we met friends at the splash pad!

PreK Awards

Super proud of this "little dragon" today! Eli received the "Most Awesome Storyteller" award today at school. His teacher nailed it; he is a very impressive story-teller. We love how creative and imaginative that kiddo can be!

We are so thankful for this amazing young woman, Ms. Williams, who chooses to use her talents to pour into little lives every day. Eli had a great year in Pre-K and has learned over and beyond what we could've ever thought he would. Here's to life-long learning!

Water Day

Eli's school had a water day for his class today. Even little sisters could come; fun for everyone!

Apparently, Eli tried to start a trend by playing in the mud instead of the water....

Ending the school day with popsicles- does it get any better?

Oh, that time would stand still....

There are just no words...

Ileigh, you are amazing. You are always singing. You have the best smile.
Beautiful and sweet, adventurous and smart with a heaping dash of attitude.
