Happy One Month Birthday, Eli!

We can't believe that our little man has been in our lives for over a month now!
It has been really neat to see him develop and grow. His favorite thing in the world at the moment is the mobile above his swing.

Here is our little "E" on his one month birthday!

We decided to head home last weekend to meet our newest addition to the family, Emmaelynn. It also happened to be Valentine's Day. Eli really loved the balloon that Memamaw got him...he just stared at it for over an hour.

Kaikeyi got her own balloon too...

Saturday the two cousins got to meet for the first time! It was questionable if the event would happen after a big pink eye scare, but in the end, everything was fine!

Here is Grandpaw and his two grandbabies.

and the proud Memamaw...

and Papaw with his great-grandchildren...

Eli really liked Papaw...

Here he is just hanging out with his Grandpaw...

Look at his little hands!

I think that he was mesmerized by the pearl-snaps.

Here are the cousins in the bassinet together while everyone ate dinner!

Here is the first official gathering in Nelson and Teresa's new kitchen...we are so excited for them!

Uncle Chris and Emmaelynn...

Eli: "Okay, I will stretch out my arms as far as I can and you stretch out your legs."
(Look at Emmaelynn's tongue- hilarious!)

Here are the twins with their little bundles...

Here is Eli punching his cousin...so the competition begins...

Pink and Black Ball 2009

This weekend was the culmination of many months of planning and anticipation- The Pink and Black Ball. The Ball is our biggest fundraiser for Komen of the year. We have a great committee that helps plan for the event; they make my job easy! This year the theme was "The Pink Flamingo". It was planned with a vintage 20's theme in mind. We had great food, dancing and added casino tables this year. It was a ton of fun and I learned so much...everything from how to make a nosegay, create magnets in the shape of flamingos...the list could go on and on...

We raised over $7,300 for Komen!

Here are a few pictures from the night...thank you to my awesome husband, Chris for the pictures.

Bruce and Darcy...

Madeleine, Heather and me...

My boss, Kathy and I...we made it through the night!

Just because I can't resist...Here is our little guy!

Introducing Emmaelynn Don Britten

On Monday, February 2nd at 10:53pm Emmaelynn Don Britten made her much anticipated arrival!

Most of you all know that Brad (Tif's twin) and his wife, Alison were expecting their first baby just a few weeks after we were!

We are so excited that our children will be growing up so close together!

She was 5lbs 3 oz, and 17 1/2 inches.

Here are a few pictures...

Here is the birthday cake that we sent to Emmaelynn...

We are so excited to meet our newest niece! We wish that we could have been at the delivery, but we had to stay here in Norman and prepare for the big Pink and Black Ball this weekend. We can't wait until we are back in Amarillo so that we can see all of our family more!
