Super Ileigh!

 She is pretty super.
We can't believe this little one is three years old!
The difference between two and three is amazing; probably my favorite year of development.

Ileigh is one smart cookie who knows exactly how to get what she wants from her daddy and gramps. It doesn't hurt that she has the most gorgeous smile ever...complete with perfect little dimples.

Her favorite foods are spaghetti and yogurt and she loves any toy that is stuffed. Especially cats!

 Oh, sweet Ileigh,
You, my dear, keep me on my toes. You are the hardest and the best thing that I have ever done. You are smart and sassy and bold and confident, but at the same time bashful and innocent, loving and kind. And I love you all the more for it.
I cannot wait to see where life takes you. I can't explain the difference between having a boy and a girl, but they are just so different. Both wonderful and overwhelming, but different. I'm so thankful for you, my baby girl.
Know that you are very, very loved.

And, just for fun, here are a few pics of the kiddos together! We love our little super kiddos!

Ileigh's Birthday Party!

One very special little girl had her 3rd birthday party today!
She really wanted a pink Superman birthday theme.
There was nothing to be found besides Barbie, Hello Kitty and princess.

So, we just threw a bunch of different things together...it works!

(PS- don't you love the floors? Chris and his friend Trey pulled up all the tile to prep for our new floors next week- eeeeek!)

She was REALLY excited about the cookie cake!

That is a lot of pink....

She didn't really know what to think about everyone singing "Happy birthday" to her...

But she knew exactly what to do with all those gifts! :)

Happy birthday to our sweet baby girl!
We love you, Ileigh Grace!

Super Eli!

 5.
You are 5. How is that even possible?

I know the days of you wanting to dress-up as some type of hero are coming to an end soon and I am so heart-broken over it.

You, my sweet Eli are amazing. You have the most gorgeous eyes on the face of the planet.
You want to be every kind of community helper when you grown up....and a scuba diver. Your favorite foods are tacos and strawberries.

You want to marry your momma and live at home forever.
I tell you that I'm already married to your daddy, but you can live with me forever, that would be okay.
I know that all too soon I will no longer be the most important person in your life.

Sweet Eli,
You are my favorite big boy, and I'm so proud to be your momma! I want you to know just how much love you are surrounded by; your momma and daddy love you so very much. Jesus loves you more.
Thank you for being exactly who you are. We couldn't be more proud of you and all the ways you want to help those around you.
Continue to use that beautiful imagination; I hope we still have many more months of you dressing up every day.
Happy birthday, love. May your light burn ever brighter as you learn and grown...

My love,
Mommy

Eli Turns 5!

 This was a blast!
My friend, Kiri had the idea of a paper air plane birthday party for her boys this summer. She asked for help designing the invites and I loved them so much that I decided that I wanted to do the exact same thing for Eli! Love it!

Gosh, isn't he handsome!!!!

This was Eli's first year of being allowed to invite friends and he was super pumped about it. We like to limit parties to family until you turn 5...just for our sanity. And budget. :)
We had a great turn out and had a blast with all of Eli's friends and their parents!

We decorated planes and raced them at the end of the party! Super fun.

Look at that tongue at work, people. Serious work going on over there!

Happy birthday to our big 5 year old! Know that you are loved beyond words and that we are so proud to be your parents!
