Memorial Day Weekend!

In celebration of one of the two Mondays a year that my dad and brother get to close down the feed store, we all met in Oklahoma City to see the Big 12 Baseball Championships.

It was a good game- we hadn't been to a baseball game in forever- what a fun way to ring in the summer! Too bad OU didn't go to the finals though!



Sunday we visited a stew cook-off at the Cowboy Hall of Fame.


It was a bit muddy from all the rain, so wearing flip flops wasn't the brightest idea....we had fun though, and the peach cobbler was amazing.

Mom and dad in front of a little water fall there. It was their anniversary weekend. Good thing they love us enough to let us tag along. They have been married for 29 years.

We are planning on coming home for the summer on Monday- just 6 short days away. We are looking forward to a wonderful, relaxing summer surrounded by our friends and family! Give us a call if you come our way!

School's Out for Summer!

It is offical - Chris is one third a lawyer. Thank goodness we have a summer to recover from spring finals! Two weeks from today we will be headed back to good ol' Texas for a summer filled with family, friends and fun!

In the middle of finals, we decided to have the study group over for a cookout to celebrate the end of the year and Chris's birthday....we had so much fun. We were pretty amazed that 14 people and two hyper puppies could all be in our tiny house at one time!

On Chris's actual birthday, the day before his hardest final, he opened a few presents.

Mother's Day weekend we got to take a quick trip home for Jessica's wedding, Chris's b-day party, Mother's Day, and some interviews.

Here is Jessica and Warren- they had a really cute ceremony- we loved the groom's cake! We love weddings and wish them all of the best!

After the wedding we headed out for some BBQ to celebrate Chris's b-day. Brandon came all the way from New Mexico to have dinner with us!

Mother's Day was so nice. We all went over to Amarillo to eat at Nanny's favorite resturant, and then we went to visit papaw in the rehabilitation center.

Derek, Chris's brother, and Jacey came up to spend time with mom and dad...













So if you know Chris, then you know he loves his Christmas gift- the new camera.
I had to go to the bathroom really bad, but I was trying to be the supportive wife, so we pulled over for pictures of this train loaded with military gear outside of White Deer for about 20 minutes! It was really neat to see...

Spring Break!

Hey everyone!


We are just getting back into the swing of things after a wonderful, relaxing week at home for Chris's spring break. It was so nice to be back home again.....here are some of the pics from the week.

We started our vaction off helping out at the feed store (not that we actually helped much at all, I just scrub the toliets!)

Happy Valentine's!

Hope that everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day!

This year we are on more of a budget than we would like, but we still managed to have a wonderful night..... we decided to cook at home on Wednesday and headed to Kansas City over the weekend to celebrate without the crowds. These are the red tulips that were placed on the table before Tif got home from work.





















Our candle-lit dinner: Polish sausage, champagne risotto and grilled veggies. Yumm-o!

We have gotten about 6 inches of snow over the past couple of weeks. This Saturday before all the snow melted we had our first snowball fight..... Chris initiated the fight, so after a fierce fight, Tif got him on the ground and threw snow all over him, proclaiming certain victory. I am sure that it was a sight to be had, we both couldn't stop laughing and rolling around in the snow! It really was so much fun, and hopefully we won't catch a cold.
